The Lumbar Spine: No pooping dog, no pooping duck

Many coaches and athletes are aware of the pooping dog position. It’s not a safe position and it’s not good for the lumbar spine. The pooping dog also has a lesser known cousin, the pooping duck, which is equally not a safe position. In many case, the pooping duck will often LEAD TO the pooping dog. In any case, the lumbar spine needs to stay neutral. Dr. Megan Hersh tells us more about that in this week’s midweek mobility.
